April 12th Event - Helping fight children's heart disease

Post by Corey Rossen »

Over the past 9 years, since its inception, Jordan’ Family Foundation (JFF) has been fortunate enough to raise and donate nearly $80,000 to the research, education and awareness of pediatric cardiology in its fight against children’s heart disease. Through the years JFF has donated locally, nationally and internationally to help combat heart disease. Our organization also hosts and participates in heart-healthy programs such as The American Heart Association’s Healthy Family Training Camp with the Cleveland Browns and our own (and largest) event, Fitness Fits Everyone.

This year, Jordan’s Family Foundation will be contributing to research that is near and dear to our hearts. JFF will be contributing to a research project that was started by Cleveland Clinic Children Hospital surgeon, Dr. Peter Aziz, that stems from our son's rare case involving his relatively common heart disorder, Wolf Parkinson’s White Syndrome (WPW). This is the first year that Jordan’s Family Foundation has had the opportunity to contribute to research involving a heart condition that either our son or daughter suffers from (our daughter was born with a quadricuspid aortic valve and our son was born with WPW).

Both our son and daughter have each undergone successful heart surgery. These surgeries were made possible by research that was generously funded years ago. JFF’s continued focus on contributing to pediatric cardiology research is attributed to the thousands of children that may benefit from such research projects. Jordan’s Family Foundation is raising money to help children today and in the years to come.

Please join us Saturday, April 12th for our first fundraiser of the year. This event, our 9th Annual “Healthy Starts. Happy Hearts.” is a beer tasting at the Wine Spot in Cleveland Heights from 4 – 7pm. Tickets are only $25. Please visit http://www.JordansFamilyFoundation.org for more details.

If you cannot make it, we hope to see you at our other events throughout the year.

To learn more about Jordan’s Family Foundation, or contribute to helping our fight against children’s heart disease, please visit our website at http://www.theJFF.org.

Thank you, and I hope to see you at one (or all) of our events,
Corey Rossen, President and Co-Founder

Thank you to all of those who were able to attend or contribute to the event, it was another huge success. We have already started planning the 10th annual event, even bigger and better than ever!

Thanks again for helping support our fight against children's heart disease.
