A "10X3" essentially means that 10 individual singer/songwriter musicians will each perform 3 mostly original songs, each having around 15 minutes to do so.
From the historic days of La Cave, our Cleveland area had been a vibrant hotbed of acoustic singer-songwriter creativity and appreciation, and that tradition continues.
Festivities will be kicked off at 8 p.m. by Lakewood's very own singer-songwriter banjo player, me!
Another cool musical event this week is the monthly Acoustic Players Metroparks Song Circle, held this Saturday (22nd) at the Canalway Visitors Center from 1-3 p.m. The monthly theme for this week is "player's choice". Everyone from beginners to seasoned professionals have been known to drop by and lead a song for appreciative listeners.
By the way, we are looking for a home for a monthly sing-a-long song circle in the Lakewood area, if anyone has any suggestions. A place with an appreciative audience would make it even better.
Also, on Sunday, there will be a guitar show at the Richfield Days Inn on route 21, starting at about 10 a.m.. This is a friendly twice-yearly show and a fun place to find the old guitar of your dreams.
Hoping to see you at some of these events.
Back to the banjo...
