A Holiday Warning From City Hall - Protect Your Packages!

Post by marklingm »

NOTE: This may be of particular concern for Tom Bullock because members of City Council aren't usually copied on Mike Tuttle's emails.

Subject: Holiday package delivery

If you are having packages delivered to your home and are not home during the day, you might consider a couple alternatives. Have your packages sent to you at work or to a neighbor that you know will be home. We have had a few reported thefts of UPS delivered items this season. The real problem is that you will not know that you are a victim until you call to find out why your packaged has not been delivered. One resident also had his mail taken. If you don’t have a deep mail box, it might be a good idea to change. A mail box stuffed full of letters lets potential thieves know that you are probably not home. Twelve days till Christmas. I wish you all a safe and happy holiday from myself and all the people that work hard for you in Lakewood!
Mike
