Yeah. Best-ever idea for a seasonal, springtime thread.

Incredible photos, too.

The baby morning doves had left the nest. Here momma sits with one about 30' up in a pine tree while she
keeps calling until...

Image
The other one leaves the ground and flies up to meet them and hang out with the sibling. They usually stick
together for about two weeks before leaving the area.

Image
Now its the Grackle Family in the tree. Here Momma brings some food before ducking inside where there
are three little ones.

The baby spent about an hour alone on May 1.

A video of one of the adult Cooper's Hawk feeding the 4 babies in the nest east of Lakewood Park.

Neighbors have noticed a real fall off in birds in the neighborhood.

It is going to take many birds, mice, bunnies and squirrels to feed this crew!

I'm even seeing the evidence at my house. The hawks have been visiting my bird feeder. Thy are not eating the seed.

Wish they would grab a few more chipmunks.

A short video of the 4 baby Cooper's Hawks jumping around and being fed. Just east of Lakewood Park.

Pretty wild how big they have gotten.

In what has to be one of the shortest egg to fledgling I have ever witnessed the baby Cooper's Hawks
have made it out of the nest and are looking like Cooper's Hawks! This is bad news for squirrels, mice,
rats, chipmunks and other birds.

Image
Two days ago, 4 in the nest today only one standing on the edge eating.

Image
Waaaaaay out there in the open looking for prey.

Image
Oh yeah, something is being watched.

Image
Looking a little like a buzzard, the fledgling seems ready for some action.
