A couple members of the group Alabama 3 are in town on business. Alabama 3 is best
known for their song, "Woke Up This Morning" which was the title song for "The Sopranos.

Full version...

With the death of James Gandofina, it was decided that they may have a special surprise Performance at The Phantasy Nite Club tonight...From England, members of Alabama 3 / A3 will be performing. Known for "Woke Up Thismorning" theme song from The Sopranos. After Green Sunrise. Free adm. for over 21, $3 for 18 to 20

As of 7pm this was way more than a rumor.

If you weren't there you missed a hell of a show!

Rob Spragg aka Larry Love talks with Josh Jennings aka Segs before the start.

hey did a six song set about 20 minutes, and every song was a hit, and very tight.

Image
In an era when Battle of the Bands fill the stages, it is always amazing when you get to
see a tight well polished big name band in a bar venue.

Laying down some of the tight "rap" in the song "Woke Up This Morning."

Deb kicking it with Larry Love after the show.

big name bands on their way up the charts.

Great show at one of my favorite stages in Cleveland.

Thanks to Michelle DeFrasia for the heads up, and John and the band for the set.

Alabama 3 is not well known in these parts, I always joke "the most famous band no one
has heard of." Even their runaway hit with "Woke Up This Morning." being used by the
Sopranos for their theme song, and the heavy play, never sunk A3 as they are also known
as into the minds of those on the Northcoast. Check them out, the only band that remains
in my do not remove play list on the ipod.
