complimentary litter - thanks plain dealer

does this happen in your neighborhood -
get the paper in the morning and notice all the comp papers the plain dealer throws
in other peoples drive way, sidewalk and lawn. actually I had 2 comp papers in my driveway today and my paper on my porch.
well, something touched a nerve this morning with me - I called
to complain about it - I said my delivery is fine but i am sick
of the carriers just throwing the comp papers in the driveways. half the time, nobody
picks up the paper to throw away, therefore they get blown down the street or become
rain soaked and who knows were they end up, LITTERING THE NEIGHBORHOOD!
they said it is legal for them to just throw it on the driveway/sidewalk and I said if you are gonna give somebody a comp paper, throw it on the porch like you do for subscribers because all they become is litter. i said i was a pd carrier as a kid and every paper i delivered went in the front door or mailbox - I said it was LAZY, LAZY, LAZY for the carriers just to throw the comp paper in the front driveway/sidewalk - if they make
a better effort, maybe they would get new subscribers in stead of pissed off neighbors.
