Hi all--
Apparently Cleveland was named as the "second-coolest" city in the Midwest by MSN, who pointed out that Cleveland is emerging as a "unique and delicious place to call home."
Two books have been examining just how cool Cleveland is, and what we should call this cool, how about "Rust-belt Chic"? Local authors have written a collection of: "...love letters to our region that expose the beauty and humor beneath the dust and bones that a new generation is working to excavate and bring back to life. With stories by the likes of Michael Ruhlman, Connie Schultz, Laura Maylene Walter and many more of our favorite people, Rust Belt Chic will make you glad to call Cleveland your home."
The other book is a cook book, which according to Leana Donofrio-Milovan, "serves as a whirlwind tour of Cleveland's rising gastro-scene."
"An award-winning author and self-proclaimed foodie asks thirty-five Cleveland chefs, “If you were suddenly to get a call at home from good friends who wanted to stop by, what would you prepare for them in one hour or less?”
And the recipes are in this book!
To meet the authors of both of these collections, and get your own copies of these books, come to the Main Lakewood Library tonight and tomorrow night at 7 pm.
Here's Leana Donofrio-Milovan's story from the current issue of the Lakewood Observer:

Walk to the library in this fabulous weather, walk home with some great takes on where you live, and some great recipes to try.
See you there.
