Before I reply with my own views, does this really belong in the Lakewood General Discussions?
I think not.

I think Tim Tebow got a pretty good run on his Christianity.

You can't be both (gay and Christian), right? Isn't that against the rules or something?

Re: Obama Priorities
All sin is wrong and separates us from God, unfortunately we all do it daily no matter how hard we try. There are countless stories of men and woman living in the gay lifestyle that are saved and learn to fight their urges just like an alcoholic or anyone else caught in sins grip. Fortunately we are saved by the grace of God.

yeah, but, cmon ... being gay is like a gazillion times worse than being an alcoholic.
after all, one is a choice; the other a disease.

I am not sure if this is a lame attempt at humor or a mock of Christian views but I am glad to see you are at least brave enough to openly state your beliefs.

Neither, Ryan. Stantis does humor; I seek clarification.

Having convictions is not bravery.
I am a proponent of what the heroic St. Francis of Assisi said: "Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words."

You wondered if I was trying to be funny or mock Christianity.
I clarified it by saying "neither"
I further clarified it with the quote from Francis of Assisi.

If it adds up to you I guess that is all that matters. Inner peace and tranquility.

Re: Obama Priorities
Thanks, Ryan. Though I am way more concerned with outer peace ... that is: ensuring that others are well, before tending to my "needs". At least thats my take on a verse like Hebrews 13:1 ... "Let brotherly love continue."
