
The nest was empty, then I noticed on a branch over the river one of the babies catching some sun.

More down than feathers he had made it to the branch.

Only half grown at one foot tall it is still an amazing bird.

I think you would agree.

A 100 yards down the path was his sibling, just sitting and watching.

Never missing a thing, people walking by within feet not even realizing he was there.

Amazing birds and only Bald Eagles are above them on the food chain, once they grow up.

Only a few weeks ago.

Now grown and gone.
