Garfield School - Fire Alarm Set Off

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

I have received numerous calls about the fire department at Garfield School.

To the best of everyone's knowledge at this time, a fire alarm was set off, and the fire department
responded. There is no smell of smoke, and the fire department is still there and will
report back shortly.

Nothing to see, move along.

Fire Department has left, and the kids are back inside.

Latest news on this non-news story.

Smoke alarm triggered the fire alarm.

It was believed to be a faulty ballast in one of the lights near the detector.

Nothing to see, move along.

Remember the old days the ballast fried and the oil leaked out and stuck to whatever it touched forever and smelled horrible. Aaahhhhh memories. Now all you get is a little ozone. :-(
