Lakewood High School In Lockdown! No Longer, Nothing To See!

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

This morning Lakewood High was locked down as part of planned program to both test the
system and the police readiness. As part of the lock down the police with dogs swept the
hallways an the classes were back in session within an hour or so.

Nothing to see, move along.

I bring this back to the top only as I have gotten calls and questions.

1) It was a planned sweep of Lakewood High, that happens at various times throughout the year.

2) A student was removed from school later in the day for "medical" reasons, and had nothing to do with the sweep.

3) SWAT was active on the eastside of the city, however it had nothing to do with LHS.

As I said, nothing to see move along.
