Cuyahoga County and the American Red Cross have opened a community shelter in the Garfield Middle School gym at 13114 Detroit Ave. Cots, light snacks and drinks as well as showers will be available. The shelter will remain open around the clock for those seeking a safe, warm place to stay until their power returns.

Re: Community Shelter Opened at Garfield
Does this mean that Garfield (and the rest of the district) will be closed again for school tomorrow?

Many will recall that we included the possibility of needing shelter at times such as this when we built the new school buildings. Unfortunately, that has come to pass and the school district is grateful to the community to be able to provide the facility.
