What's with all of the sirens?

Post by Myra Beckrest »

I'm sitting here listening to a ton of sirens going off. Anyone know what's going on?

Myra

Let me take a stab at this...

At around 6:30pm customers smelled smoke at the Harry Buffalo, anf the Lakewood Fire
Department was called.

Around 6:36 pm a woman was reported as being hit in the face with a bottle by another
patron. Two males were witnessed running west down Detroit Ave. The offender(s) were
chased by Lakewood Firemen for more than a block where they were stopped...

... and taken back to the Harry Buffalo to face their accuser.

Meanwhile she was taken to the ambulance to be taken care of. The story was later
downgraded to a patron throwing a bottle which cut the woman's foot, where the
amublance cleaned up the cuts and sent her on her way. Both patrons exchanged
information, and as of today no charges filed.

The fire was an electrical box in the basement. Patrons waited and watched their drinks from afar.

Celebrating a rare Brown's win, you know they were not leaving.

Jim,

Thank you! That was it! I live right around the corner from there (well, technically two corners) and I was imagining half the city was on fire from the amount of trucks I could hear!
