Principal Sees Racism in Peanut Butter
http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/to ... utter.html
Gutierrez, principal of Harvey Scott K-8 School...she “picks up on the subtle language of racism every day” and used the peanut butter sandwich to illustrate her point....“Another way would be to say: ‘Americans eat peanut butter and jelly, do you have anything like that?’ let them tell you,” she told the newspaper. “Maybe they eat torta. Or pita.”
The newspaper provided information about a drum corps that was set up for black and Latino boys. One parent complained that the class discriminated against women, Asians, whites and Native Americans.
Guitierrez defended the class and denied it was discriminatory.
“When white people do it, it is not a problem,” she told the Tribune. “But if it’s for kids of color, then it’s a problem? Break it down for me. That’s your white privilege, and your whiteness.”
"“When white people do it, it is not a problem”,"That’s your white privilege, and your whiteness.” - is this really coming from the principal as a reason why it ISN'T discriminatory??#?@?
So does the school system provide clubs strictly for white students?
“I’m not aware of that in Portland,” he said.
This is one of the craziest stories I have ever read. The students of this school will really be world leaders, with great vision and compassion.... wow.

It means you may be $4 to $20 richer?
What about oreo cookies and zebra cakes? Those may be offensive to non black or white people...
People need thicker skin, and they need more personal responsibility. Stop looking for someone to blame, buy a mirror and fix the problem.

Honestly I don't buy nutella, I buy the generic stuff from Aldis, I'm incredibly cheap.
The idea that it isn't health food is crazy, it tastes good therefore it is health food

Are people really that dumb? Please tell me they aren't.

as a democrat, you're free to call these administrators dopes and dumbasses when they say shit like this. you don't have to convert to right-winger status just to call minor officials stupid.
