Pooch Pool Plunge-Dog Swim 2012

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

One of my favorite events since the very first one is the Doggy Swim at the end of every
summer the day after they close Foster Pool for the summer. It benefits Friends of
Lakewood's Dog Park which is a great group of volunteers that have continuously made
Lakewood a better place for Dogs and Dog owners since they were started.

Some Swag for sale in the door.

A good turnout as always even with rainy gray skies.

What I found funny this year, and have in various series of photos were the people trying to
talk and motivate their dogs to get into the water.

A series of Sarah and Steve Isenhart trying to get one of their dogs to dive off the board!

Image
A series of this dog trying to move enough water to get the ball to float back.

And, LO's "It Dog" owned by Julianne Davis showing how it is done!

A great time was had by all.
