Eddie 'N Eddie Opens Today

While talking with old family Eddie Cerino yesterday while his wife and help tried out the fries
and some other things. He said he would be open today, but underlined a "soft opening." I
restaurant terms "soft opening" is usually a simplified menu, and a lot of hope that diners
will understand that they are still working out cooking and staff issues.

No matter, Mama Cerino's little boy Eddie, is in Lakewood and ready to go!

If it was up to Eddie, probably not, but the Chamber, Council, Mayor, etc. will need their moment.
I mean if you have a big ceremony for a bike rack, a legitimate big name restauranteur...

It is funny, I was talking to Eddie, about why this format, when Mom/Sis has one of the best Italian
Restaurant on the East Side. He said, "I think this is a good concept, and we had been looking at
Lakewood for years." I mentioned that Ken Warren and I often hit Cerinos for the veal, and he loves
your pizza, and he really does not like Cleveland Pizza, and how it would have been so nice to have had
that here, and he said. "No, Jim I think you will like this concept."

Food look good from what I have seen and tasted.

I mentioned I would stop by in a week or two, and check it out after the dust settles.

Funny, as I drove by at midnight and saw him still hard at work, I thought, I do not miss that business at all.

Should be pretty good, and original. Like Danny's Deli, just a great family, all of them.

I drove by yestedday and was shocked to see it lit up and filled with people eating! Yes I was close enough to see them happily eating! I can't wait to try it. There can never be enough restaurants, as variety is nice. Menu recommendations would be nice.....

Danny's Deli is a great family, I agree and fresh good wholesome food! The last owners let Tina's Deli go down but now it is fresh and new again. It was the first place we ever ate when we moved to Lakewood after an all night drive in the UHaul. Nice to see it back! We are lucky here! And not underweight!

I used to go to Fast Eddie's in Parma and that was my absolute favorite place to go. I loved it. I am so excited for Eddie 'N Eddie to open. You have no idea how excited I am.

Given the hoopla this place has received, you would have thought that Joël Robuchon opened his latest restaurant right here in The Wood and earned his 29th Michelin Star!!

hubby & I stopped in last night after curriculum night at Grant. REALLY good service, our drinks barely got to half-full before they were filled again and the place was reasonably busy particularly for a Thursday night. Hubby had a burger (forget what one, sorry!) and saved me a bite, it was quite good and he enjoyed it greatly. He also had the sweet potato pancakes and seemed quite pleased with those. We shared a cup of chicken harvest dumpling soup and it was delicious. I had the fried pickles & pastrami (hey, I'm pregnant...) and that was filling enough for me even though it was just an appetizer that I couldn't stuff in any pie. I expressed my appreciation for the quieter and dimmer section down the Warren side of the restaurant as I was feeling a bit sensory overwhelmed before we walked in from stuff earlier in the day (had also attended a funeral earlier in the day, 4th funeral in 3 months, which had a lot to do with it), it's nice that there is that alcove with a decent amount of seating away from the TV screens and high echoy ceiling. Pretty sure we'll be back.
