in Lakewood and beyond. I remember the first year, and thinking to myself, you know it
seems like such a simple but positive idea. Get all the trucks in a city in one place for kids,
who positively love big trucks, get a chance to play on them! Good PR for the city, city
services, police and fire. Well it did end up being a great idea, now being copied around the
country, as I said to Mayor Summers yesterday, "This might be the best thing we have ever
exported to another city." he smiled and agreed.

This was at about 10:30am thirty minutes after opening, and the place was packed!

This is the first year I remember seeing a boat here.

Ed Favre with Mayor Michael P. Summers.

Garvin walked up to All Dog's Heaven, and started hugging and talking to the big stuffed toy dog.

Christina Gill McCaullum helping kids make buttons at the PTA booth.

LakewoodAlive handing out paper hats made out of Observers.

Three generations of the Gaydos family.

Matt Markling hustling for the Boy Scouts. "You bet Mr. O'Bryan will by some cotton candy.
No Jim you do not have t tip them!"

Even something for the older kids.

Jason Weiner with his two daughter look up at a Red Tail Hawk that was being bombarded
by Purple Martins.

At 3:30pm the lines were still forming up.

With boys talking about toys they would love to drive.
