Something we often forget about Lakewood. We are bordered on two sides by what those in the know
call world class fishing for walleye, perch, bass in the photo below Salmon!

My first night of the season at the Courts at Kauffman Park for Lakewood Outdoor Basketball Committee. You can find me most every Wednesday evenings from 6PM to 8PM there until the snow flies ... just trying to provide The Future of Lakewood -our community's youth- a bit of guidance. I love my LOBC volunteer time ... and the kids are just GREAT!!!! (digitally-altered original photo copyright © 2012 Peter Grossetti)

I love Lakewood's trees. I know there are trees all over the place, but Our City's are special. This beauty graces our front yard and is often contemplated by the artist in her attic studio.

food for thought:
"I cannot say that I am in the slightest degree impressed by your bigness, or your material resources, as such. Size is not grandeur, and territory does not make a nation. The great issue, about which hangs true sublimity, and the terror of overhanging fate, is what are you going to do with all these things?" ~Thomas Huxley (September 12, 1876)

Vinny Gambini: It is possible that the two yutes...
Judge Chamberlain Haller: ...Ah, the two what? Uh... uh, what was that word?
Vinny: Uh... what word?
Judge: Two what?
Vinny: What?
Judge: Uh... did you say 'yutes'?
Vinny: Yeah, two yutes.
Judge: What is a yute?
Vinny: [beat] Oh, excuse me, your honor... [exaggerated] two YOUTHS.
