2 food places Lakewood needs

I didn't know a Pizza BOGO opened at Kamms until I received coupons in the mail today. It is great pizza. There is one in the Cuyahoga Valley, from which we've gotten pizza on our way to Blossom. Great Stuff!

lol sorry I am not sure when but had a soft opening and just found out they do deals on Tues. and Wed. for any large pizza, gourmet, any toppings for $5.99 but don't know if you need a coupon for that. Napa Valley rocks with asparagus, artichoke hearts, grilled chicken and creamy pesto sauce and sun dried tomatoes. ok sorry for talking about them again but wish they were down the street. I would cook a lot less.

The new supermarket being built at Westgate is called Healthy Fare Supermarket. They sound like an alternative to Whole Foods/Trader Joe's. I googled them and saw positive feedback for product and responsible corporate choices.

What do places like Pier W, Players, Melt and Around the Corner have in common? They draw clientele from outside of Lakewood. You could call them "destinations". THAT is the type of restaurants we need more of. Corner joints that draw from a few block radius are fine, but if they get too close to each other, they tend to cannibalize. In the past, Lakewood was a regional draw for ethnic restaurants, and can and should be again. We are sorely in need of good Asian places, by the way.

Earth Fare has TJ's beaten by a mile. Think more towards Whole Foods, but with much better prices.

While I'd rather do my shopping at Nature's Bin or Heinen's, Earth Fare does stock a lot of items that neither store does. It will be nice to have nearby to supplement my regular shopping.

Which means in Lakewood, the 99% would flock to the small specificity store owned by a
German/Dutch multi-billionaires. I can see them now driving their SUVs all by themselves
on their way to buy dolphin safe tuna from the "local" store.

At least at Aldi's Eggos are still called Eggos.
