Sunrise 10/22/11
Soon it will look like this.
Well, no, it will have CVS on it and it will look like a store. Just getting ready.
The cool thing is if you get tired walking down the sidewalk, you can lean on the
building. Or if you have to stop and tie your shoe or something-- it will come in handy.

LOVE the first pic .. very sculptural.
I'm wondering why the residents of Andrews Avenue aren't up in arms at the thought of all the traffic of their street when the store opens!

Maybe, like the library, you won't be allowed to turn down Arthur to exit?

Thanks Peter, I went out and took this one tonight from the other side.
I couldn't get a similar angle from the other side, had to stand on a pillar at the church of Christ Scientist to get anything at all. I'm wondering if the new CVS building will be up as high as those steel ladder looking things.

Hi Brian-- I think a lot will depend on where the CVS drive-through pharmacy window lane is-- I'm guessing it has to be on Lakeland-- the library already has drive-through traffic, and entrances and exits on both Arthur and Mars.

This underlines the variable lobbying power of each street. Mars obviously had less pull than
Arthur. Library traffic cannot turn left coming out of the Arthur side. On Mars you can turn
south.

Re: New Lakewood Skyline
The new CVS is that low building across the street from the cars. I think the silhouette of the church used to cut through that lit up building at the back. I'm sure many will know what that building is called (or used for) but I don't remember. It is now the lone tall structure on the skyline from this direction.
It is a beautiful night! Wind blowing the clouds and full moon around. We've been walking around and jumping on the trampoline and raking leaves which continued to blow away (I am not allowed to put them on the tree lawn. The leaf pile is the main attraction in the backyard right now.) If tomorrow it's supposed to snow, then I guess this may be the last warm night of 2011. Go outside!
