Lakewood Park Historic Marker Dedication Party

Post by Betsy Voinovich »

Hey all, I know it's rainy and you might already be going to the Architectural Board of Review meeting regarding McDonald's plans-- but if you are not-- and are looking for history that's more fun (as in a gathering that's not about tearing down a building) go to Lakewood Park for the Historic Marker Dedication.

The history of Lakewood Park is fascinating, I never knew about it until I read the article in yesterday's Observer. http://www.lakewoodobserver.com/read/20 ... cal-marker.

Another thing I didn't know is that there is a lemonade and cake party following the dedication, or maybe they'll just have the party first until it stops raining. My daughter heard about it at school is begging to go. We might split up for different Lakewood gatherings. It's at 5:30, right before dinner, but if you have the rainy day blahs, it should be fun. You can say that you were there...
