This one with these kids was called "Beginning of the End." The bass player was slapping the strings like Flea in the Chili Peppers, when they played "Dani California." I was with my son and his fellow guitar playing buddy and they were impressed.

This band was called Record Junkies. They did a better version of "The Sweater Song" than Weezer, and at least one original. The kid singing "My Generation" made it sound like it was about his generation--- he's about 12-- it was great. The bass player did all the John Entwistle breaks perfectly. Yeah, he looks like he's only about four feet tall because he is only about four feet tall.

The last band was called "Not a Trash Can." Watching them was the most fun I've had watching music all summer. Their version of "Are you gonna be my girl?" was the funniest most catastophic version I've ever seen. They seem to be a band to look for.
Congratulations to the bands and to Chris Vance and his fellow teachers, and to the Phantasy for making these kids into rock stars for the night.
