Our newest addition just breaks hearts...

Post by Missy Limkemann »

Meet Sugar. Oh I wish I could just say a happy tail and smile and laugh but sadly I cannot. You see Sugar is a senior, 15 years old. She was dumped at a county pound. Just when you think it cannot get worse, it does. Sugar has breast tumors, her teeth are rotten and she has a very old injury to her eye. I wish I could say it will be ok, I wish I could say that I am used to this, but I am not. I am sad that when she needed her owner most, she was discarded. We rushed her to the vet today (8/18/11) and did a whole bunch of tests. I will find out most answers tomorrow. Will we be able to save her? Will we be able to remove the tumors, spay her and let her live the rest of her life in luxury? I don't know. I do know she will be pampered, loved and spoiled in her final days.

This is just a small sampling of what we do. Not to mention the momma and her 8 puppies found in a condemned home. Momma semi-feral and starved, not only for food but for love.

We have no membership fees, we don't get to put on big events as we are just too small. Heck, we were not even invited to this years' Spooky Pooch Parade. (still scratching my head at that one...but hey what am I to do?)

Here are some pictures of Sugar, before and after...(sorry they are so big...I don't know how to resize them in photobucket) Oh and my camera broke today too. LOL.

WTF

Really?

Well you know, the only thing they care about is helping the dogs.

As opposed to you that give these little guys everything they deserve and more. They talk, while you are
accomplishing miracles.

Someday, they will look back and feel so foolish and small.

Missy,
The fact that you never turn down a dog, no matter how old or how poor their condition, that you always see their beauty and unconditionally love them shows who you are, what your character is, and what your purpose is in life. Some people search their whole life for "purpose" but you went out and detemined yours. Animals have no advocates, other than angels like you. You will have a special place in heaven and every single dog will be licking your face while sitting on your golden throne!

Let's get serious about having a "big" event. One that you deserve. It is possible and can be annual. You deserve your own parade. Jim will help make that happen! Email me a date Missy and let's get started! Spagetti dinner, raffles, dancing, big night for the pooches coming!
