Every once in awhile you get things right.
Excellent!

17806 Detroit Ave. http://thesweetspotcleveland.com

A regular shows me his favorite.

My Sicilian wife ordered Chocolate, you know so she could compare to the old country.

I went with the Coconut Chocolate Chip.

Nice clean space.
Check it out, perfect for a walking destination, after a play or music at the Beck.

Our mother-daughter book club met here last night and everyone enjoyed their sweet treats, especially the coffee/cookie & mocha/peanut butter flavors!
The staff was very friendly, helping to rearrange tables as needed. The space was perfect for our small group meeting.

I have to agree, this place is fantastic. Wish it was a little more central to make it even easier for me to get to, but I have no problem peddling a little further. Probably need to after all the gelato I've eaten.

Re: The Sweet Spot
I'll go ahead and be the contrarian, and I really love their gelato.
I think that $3 for a small is a bit much.
Go ahead and throw the tomatoes, because I can handle them.
For my wife, daughter and myself to go there for a dessert, it's over $9 plus tax (if we take it to go).
Compared to DQ and UDF, that is a bit much, IMHO.
Personally, it would be great if they had a size beneath the small (which has some hearty scoops) to make it a bit easier on the wallet. JMHO.

Re: The Sweet Spot
Good Gelato, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, is not going to be cheap. DQ and UDF is no comparison - highly processed, using the cheapest ingredients they can find.

Re: The Sweet Spot
Hi David, definitely not trying to compare quality. I totally agree Sweet Spot is better.
Just talking about price points. I wish there was a size under the small for less than $3. That's all.
Love their gelato and hope they survive. I just wonder if the repeat business is there enough for them. But absolutely wish them the best.
