Lakewood Park Has A New Advertiser!

Post by stephen davis »

Pure genius! New revenues for the City! Why haven't they done this before?

Image

Will we get to see more bicycles chained to utility poles in the park? How about all the parks?

Image

What are the ad rates for a prime pole near the park entrance? This new initiative may go a long way to covering the cost of fireworks and park improvements.

Just in time for the July 4th crowds!

When I read this I was thinking it had something to do with the retail outlets opening up
in Lakewood Park...

Image

But no instead of advertising this plant store, it is advertising the Historic Emerald Canyon
Drinking District.

Go figure...

I think it is great the city has become proactive in finding new revenue steams.

Here's one I saw a couple of weeks ago.

Image

This advertiser tied, not chained, his message to a NO PARKING sign.

It's not in Lakewood Park, and it's not in DowntowN, so the ad rate is probably a little cheaper. Location, location, location!

The advertising for that product would probably be better aimed at a more focused demographic. This pizza sign should have been tied to the bike racks at Lakewood High School. That would be a win-win, as the schools could also use the ad revenue.

Steve

I had heard that they relaxed the signs laws in Lakewood.

Hell maybe we are not making a penny off of any of this trash marketing.
