Please excuse me, crazy week behind, and a crazier week ahead. So much to do, so little time, so many things to write, so many announcements to do. I was up till 4am working on this paper and am late for a meeting at our newest project so...

As always I have to thank my staff. It is truly amazing as we sit around at production, and watch the paper come together from every corner of Lakewood, and beyond. While this marks our 151st paper, and we had a bunch of stuff to mark 150, we have not yet been able to get the information into the paper, as we are getting so much content it has become a battle that will soon see us add more pages, and some other surprises!

Margaret, what can one say, you are perfect on production day. Deb, a person that has shared so much with me over the years, your input is gold, and so needed. Betsy, anyone that enjoys 2am proofing sessions will always be cool in my book. Mel words do not do justice to explain what you do for the paper. Maggie, little Maggie, it is you that makes this entire project possible, and for that I am very thankful. So many more to thank, but instead, look forward to meeting them, reading about them, and hopefully joining with us for the next 150 issues. Eight plus years ago we started to write the history of Lakewood, never realizing we were also writing the history of "civic journalism." Today we look to move the entire project into new areas of civic involvement and entanglement, and always with you the residents, businesses, non-profits, and others by our side.
