Can Lakewood use Vermont to model a Green Energy plan?

Post by Donald Farris »

Hi,
Lakewood, can you follow the lead of Vermont to enact streamlined legislation to simplify residents implementing solar panels? See: Vermont Streamlines Small-Scale Solar Power

It looks like legislation with no cost to the government can help residents implement green technology to save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Hi,
A new report stressed that local leaders are key to tackling climate change. See:http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/31/local-leaders-fighting-climate-change_n_869449.html

Is Lakewood setting goals to do its part in this important effort to save the Planet?

Of the 42 Cities in the report, 57% are adopting City-wide GHG reduction targets and 62% have established action plans to address climate change
