I’ve owned a gun for about 14 years now. It’s a Smith & Wesson 40 caliber semi-automatic with 3 high capacity clips and Trijicon night sights. Don’t worry, it’s kept far far away from Lakewood. I have no intention of ever keeping it in my house. Even if I did keep it in my house, I have no intention of ever applying for a concealed carry permit. Even if I did apply, I would never carry in bars, restaurants or open air stadiums. Not because I couldn’t drink (which in itself is a reason not to carry) but because it’s a really bad idea. Guns and alcohol don’t mix well. What’s the deal with open air stadiums being included? I swear our country is being taken over by the fringe on either side. One side wants to bankrupt us while the other side wants everyone to shoot each other. Now that’s insane

I did not know it was illegal to carry fire arms in a bar.
I was under the impression most bartenders keep a shot gun under the register and let people smoke cigarettes anyways.
usually when someone pulls a gun on Mannix, he punches them in the gut then karate-chops the back of the head. then their friend pistol whips Mannix.
I did not know there had been serious lobbying going on to allow people to carry guns into bars. how long has it been going on? I can understand how this would be a big priority for voters and the legislature and the governor. No wonder it took Governor Kasich and the new legislature so little time to address this important issue with new legislation. Pretty soon you will be able to take your gun to your favorite bar!
this should probably be a decision made by counties and cities.
sometimes people need to squabble or fight at bars. they should be able to do that with a reasonable expectation of not getting shot or feeling undue pressure to shoot someone.
Decent people need a place to drink and fight without worrying about getting shot or extra temptation to shoot anyone. it is good for bars to be gun free in these volatile times!
maybe....the Founding Fathers knew there would be REVOLVER HANDGUNS one day. and that folks would gather at bars at railroad towns. There would be bad guys there with revolvers! so GOOD GUYS would need to be allowed to carry their own revolvers! It would give GOOD GUYS something to do! and do way cooler stuff with revolvers than BAD GUYS! And the Founding Fathers knew that towns and counties would try to make statutes against getting liquored up and carrying revolvers at the same time! So the Founding Fathers maybe wanted a strong STATE to overrule towns and cities and counties! Does that make any damn sense?
