Lakewood Observer Volume 7 Issue 8 is out!

The year is nearly 25% over, how are you doing with your New Year Resolutions?

Lakewood continues to be one of the best cities and communities on the Northcoast, and
we continue to see more and more great organic efforts start and grow in the fertile fields of
Lakewood, that are not dependent on grants, funds from the city or schools, or artificial
outside help and support. This is great for a community like Lakewood that has very
limited
resources and funds. It is the future of this community and other communities, but it would
seem to me that our fields of independent thought are growing stronger than most.

This gives us a brighter future than most in the regional outlook for our future and the future of the city,
schools, parks, businesses, and our most important resource, residents.

As this issue of the Lakewoood Observer celebrates spring, birth and the growth of
Lakewood's baby Horned Owls, and LEAF celebrates the spring by turning over their soil in
hundreds of community gardens throughout the neighborhoods, let's celebrate the same
for all of Lakewood. Enrollment up, businesses moving in, residents coming back or
choosing to move in and stay within our glorious borders, all dedicated to making this city
and our lives better.

Organic growth, is indeed sustainable, and solid growth.

Something we can all be very proud of.

My thanks as always to our ever growing team of staff and volunteers that contribute based on their love of this community and their friends and neighbors. Damn I love them and this community.
