Crime In Lakewood - Are We Bringing It On Ourselves?

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

I have been very vocal for awhile about Crime in Lakewood, and how it is handled from
some of the sites that publish which house are empty so people know which house to
break into, to how they also publish the names, addresses and phone numbers of those
helping to catch the criminals and get them arrested. Why? And who else is working to
devalue the community we love.

A while ago, this man was caught in less than 2 minutes after committing armed robbery,
by our excellent police force. Lakewood Police had 3 cars at the scene 14 seconds after the call.

What might shock you is how he got here, and why he robbed a man of $20 and a pack
of cigarettes in broad daylight, and how he decided Lakewood was perfect for his crimes.
You might be surprised who is helping criminals have access to our streets and children.

Read the story this week at the Lakewood Observer.
