Careful! Icey Out, Trees And Power Lines Coming Down!

Today's ice storm left everything covered in an eight of an inch of ice.


This bush shows the ice build up that is causing branches to fall.


What is only a couple pounds of ice on this small tree becomes nearly a ton of ice
or more in some of our massive oaks. That is when the problems starts.


A lone seagull looks for some place any place to land.


A study in red white and blue. Buds covered in ice.


Left it like walking on the moon.



I think we can all agree...

Ice covered buds, the digs seem to love them. Which i am sure means a trip to the vet this afternoon!

Been listening to the Police Scanner, and out and about since early this morning. LPD and LFD have got the job in hand----- extra work because of usual idiot criminals, but our safety forces eat this action up--- they're doing the job.

Hey, is it the City or Illuminating company who will address lines laying dangerously on the power line in the back of my house? It isn't pulled out but 3 other branches from the same tree fell so I worry it will just pull the wires out and go. That would suck. Just curious.
