Rock Salt!

Post by Glenn Palmer »

It's finally back in stock! It seems most everyone was out-of-sock at the end of last week, including the big-box stores. We currently have 40 lb. bags of Rock Salt, 12 lb. jugs of Potassium Chloride (non-corrosive), and 20 lb. bags of Pet Guard (non-corrosive and easy on your pet's feet). We also still have tons of Washer Washer Fluid for $1.29! Come and get it while we still have it!

Glenn

Thanks for the heads up, and for carrying the salt to the car. It all works, from store to
sidewalk. I love it when a plan comes together.

Jim, I'm picturing the intro to the Flintstones where the slab of ribs tips over the car. I hope you drove the right car for the job.

80lbs of rock salt hardly leveled the car out what alone tipped it over.

Speaking of Ribs, Tommy's Pizza will be offering Ribs and Chicken. Could this be what
has been missing in this town since the demise of Chicken and Ribs Galore?

It would be nice to have 1 place in town with good ribs and chicken. Was hoping that
Hot Sauce Williams would finally make the move. And no it is not because of their new
"Potsauce Williams Sauce."

Glenn carried my bag of Potassium Chloride out and put in the back of the truck before I could even pay for it! Talk about service! Lakewood Hardware is the best.

Glenn as you probably know comes from a long line of Palmers that have had businesses in
Lakewood. The other day I was at the Chamber working on a project and saw some more
old photos of Madison and there was Palmer's Meats. At one time they had three stores.

When I stopped, Glen loaded the truck, grabbed a couple bundles of papers for the
businesses nearby, told me about Tommy's Pizza moving in and said, we have to make these
businesses work. Lives in Lakewood, Works in Lakewood, Love Lakewood.

Support Lakewood Businesses is more than a slogan there. It should be everywhere.

Jim:

Our first house was on Cranford and the Palmers were the down-the-street neighbors. What a pleasant surprise it was when I first went to Lakewood Hardware and saw generations behind the counter.
