After watching Regan, on HBO last night, it is clear he lied many times to the American
people. If we are to use the same standard for President Regan, as Bill Clinton, why
cannot we not go back, and clear up the record that he should have been impeached not
for one thing but many, many things.
Just because he misdirected us, why do we have to not rewrite history the way it was?
This has always bothered me about past presidents. Let's correct the records. Let's get
history straight, especially when we have the documents to prove the crimes. Why let
any of them rise through the history books as GREAT?
Today I was watching the first of many leaks from the Rumsfield notes. Again, it is just
pitiful, that America continues to turn a blind eye to the level of abuse that various
administrations have gone through. Why did Rumsfield demand going into Iraq less than
one hour after 9/11? Why do we let revisionists continue to say, "He was linked to
terrorism against the USA"? Why do we have to throw facts and history out of the books,
and instead create fables and outright lies?
Plain and simple, Rumsfield and President Bush's push to chase ghosts, has caused the
longest and most expensive war in US History. None of which ever had to happen.
I do not understand this country.
FWIW.

I'm not a Reagan fan, but can you point to one instance where he lied under oath the way Clinton did?
You don't impeach a President for making bad choices, you vote them out of office. And if you want to start retroactively impeaching Presidents for lying, well then whose record would remain safe?

Last night, it was pointed out by fellow members of his staff, and his son, that he was
completely aware of selling weapons to Iran, and that Ollie North used the money for
funding the Contras. That would actually be a whole host of lying there, all over things
much worse than Slick Willy lying about his sexcapades.
It has also been uncovered that he was fully aware of "Operation Midnight" that used tons
and tons and tons of cocaine brought into the US to fund the Contras. Not sure he was
ever asked about it, but was fully aware of the CIA program, that dumped a lot of their
product into the hands of Freeway Ricky Ross who turned it into crack, and proceeded to
destroy Watts, LA and nearly the rest of the world.
But why even look into it? I mean he is gone, let's put him on the $50.
With Nixon, the Trials of Henry Kissinger easily put the blood of 30,000 Americans, and
100,000 plus Asians on the hands of Nixon and himself, solely to get re-elected. Then there
is that ugly BS in East Timoor. But why let 30,000 East Timoorians matter right?
Just sick.
