A Thanksgiving Message.
I would like to give a special thank you to all of the supporters and participants
in this wonderful project. It is because of you this project has become the best thing I
have ever done, and for that I am so grateful and thankful on this kick off to the
Holiday Season. Even my detractors have a special place in my heart this time of year.
Please remember those not as fortunate as us this holiday season, and reach out and
assist, check in on them, make sure they know they matter in our lives. While
many find ourselves celebrating, there are many this season that face uncertainty,
depression, health and finance issues. Let's all give the gift of kindness this holiday
season. It cost so little and means so much.

Now be quiet and watch the videos.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
We have just arrived home from a trip to our nation's capital where we were reminded of how fortunate we are to live in a free country and how lucky we are to reside in such a manageable community. We are grateful to be home.
Happy Thanksgiving to you (Jim), The Lakewood Observer and all.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
My family has also just returned from D.C. and it was overwhelming taking in all of the hope, effort and dedication that was put into the forming of our country—trying to make sense to a ten-year-old, a seven-year old and a five-year old of the Lincoln Memorial, the plaque on the steps where MLK Jr. gave his "I have a dream" speech, and the long, endless black wall of the Vietnam Vets memorial running through the whole thing.
Like Meg, I find myself grateful to live in a country, and a community where it is possible to communicate with each other, share our dreams-- all of the different versions of them that we have-- and keep trying.
Thank you very much to our own personal founding fathers and mothers of the Lakewood Observer, who not only held (and are holding) up a lamp to light the way, but created a place to come together to talk, listen, learn and grow. And thanks to this very committed, very engaged community for keeping it going and setting an example for young families like mine.
There are so many reasons to be grateful, and so many reasons to keep on trying.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Betsy---- You have put into words, I think, all of our feelings. From your family, it has special meaning for all of us.
