Hi,
OK, Maybe it could be a county-wide highway. There would need to be some bridges to give boats access under it. The existing breakwall in front of Cleveland could be used and expanded. Then it could just run offshore from about that distance along the county. We need jobs and revitalization. Let's get some federal dollars into NE Ohio.

It could look some like this:

Ok, maybe with trees other than Palms, hearty evergreens perhaps.

While I appreciate the thought, I am not giving up, nor am I willing to sit and wait for both
county and others to develop a plan or even stumble into critical thinking.

Huntington Beach? Nope. Peninsula? Yes!

Hi,
There can be a further use for the shoreline drive (Really an offshoreline drive). I know there has been some pushing for a new rail service running through the heart of Lakewood. Well, I find that an extremely dangerous and disruptive thing to do for the people that live in Lakewood.

But, make the causeway a little wider and you could run the rail on it. Plus it would cover a much shorter distance and could be quicker. One side could be walkway and bike trail, then a nice 2 lane road and on the other side 1 or 2 rail tracks (side closer to shore).

Feds just made $2.4 billion available for high speed trains. I have seen plans from other states to utilize these funds, but I don't remember seeing anything from Ohio. Lets make that a high speed train and run it Cleveland to Toledo or Detroit and get some of the Fed dollars into northern Ohio.
