This morning, Fox-8 News aired their segment showing Lakewood's Garfield Middle School to be their "cool school" of the week! Check out the great video of students presenting their fantastic school!

(You might even see a certain drumline volunteer instructor in the background whom you may know... )

Well, after all, drums are really only banjos without the neck...

Great job Garfield! Great job, Lakewood's public schools!

What's the deal with the dog in the newscast? Is he a school mascot or something?
That might be a potential LO story! I've been looking for cute pet stories.

Parnell is a therapy dog. Mrs. Patterson had the dog for her son who had down syndrome and now he is in college taking care of himself, so she has the dog to help the handicap kids. He has an official name tag and is in the 8th Grade. (Report by my son )
