The article has a picuture of downtown Cleveland as viewed from Lakewood Park. I suppose when (if) the Plain Dealer reports this it will feature a photograph of a boarded up, graffitti covered home located in Cleveland.

I'm not a big fan of bureaucracy but this City needs a ministry of propaganda.

It has several and you're participating in an aspect of one.

Actually, it is a photo taken from Edgewater park, photo credit: Ohio Tourism Division.

At least it's a photo taken from the correct side of town.

Why not look at this for the awesome, and well deserved, recognition that it is rather than always looking glass half empty? :) I'm glad that once again we were nationally recognized for being great. Heck even Channel 5 is reporting on it positively (we'll see what the PD manages to do).

And Bill, wouldn't adding a ministry of propaganda just expand the evil union machine that is Lakewood City government against which you wage an unceasing battle for the future of humanity? :P

Word just came in, they were confused and really meant to include Lakewood, CO instead.

David

I was trying to figure out why Matt looked so, so, so...

Then I looked at the rest of your photos.

While not really cool, did anyone catch the moon over Detroit Ave. tonight?

I took 57 hand held photos, all are blurry but 2 because of how long I had to expose.

Kind of cool?

The sun rises the day after being told the city is cool.

No over turned cars, no fires, no rioting.

Not at all like winning an NBA Championship.

Lakewood has a subtle kind of cool, like a Chet Baker set on a summer day with the breeze drifting in the window from the water.

Things we don't need to be cool include Applebee's, more strip malls, or Condos.

Where else can you watch Venus rise over the sewage treatment plant?
