While Root Cafe does still serve Pheonix Coffee, I think it is only fair to give credit where credit is due to Julie, Bobby, and the rest of their crew. Root is a wonderful example of how Lakewoodites are thinking outside the box and keeping a piece of Lakewood's image uniquely...well...uniquely "Lakewood" in the most positive sense of the word. And that will never be copied by any CDC in Coventry or otherwise.

I am a huge fan of the organically grown and beautiful Root Cafe, and outlet for Phoenix Coffee.
You are also more than aware of my opinions of renting, borrowing, erecting a faux market as compared
the the organically grown, and equally beautiful LEAF Community.
I would also like to throw in a plug for the Crino's vision of bela dubby, and Paul Sykes marvelous Beck
Cafe (though he would be much better served using Phoenix Coffee).
The stuff that comes together organically, is a ton better than the big box. Which is why those that worked
so hard to bring in the Big Box stores hang out at the Root, the Melt, Aladdin's, etc. I think they summer
from a Donner Party complex, of self destructive nature.
But hey, that is just me, what do I know about starting organic projects?
PS - You really did a wonderful job on this edition of the paper.
