Get Ready Second Dip Will Be A Doosy!

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Get ready for the second dip, it is coming and no one will stop it.

Today over 30,000 people showed up in Atlanta in 95 degree heat for a chance to get
and application to apply for public housing. People were passing out from the heat, and
police were there in riot gear to handle the crowds.

BUT

They have ZERO housing units available right now. This was just to get in a file for a
possible chance down the road. No promise of any housing coming out of it.

Two weeks ago I was watching another news report about cities turning off the street
lights at 9pm to save as much as $100,000 a year. Some of these cities had already
laid off half of their police force. It is not hard to imagine how this turns out!

Another group of cities have stopped fixing roads letting them go back to gravel roads
as they can no longer afford to fix them or pave them, as the material has gone up
400% in the last couple years.

This allowed a crazy scenario to be played out. Imagine a Chinese businessman riding
a 244mph bullet train on his way into work, reading the Asian version of the Wall Street
Journal reading about America going third world!

At some point AMERICA will have to wake up and see that R & D is nothing more than
a distraction to keep us rooting for sides instead of wondering why nothing is working or
getting down to help Americans.

Last week, YAHOO news announced that 87% of America is making 4% more than they
did in 1976. All of this while 1% of America's pay has gone up 490%. Get it, starting
to understand? These people are not working for us. The internet, Facebook, R, D,
regionalism, all smoke screens. The country is broken, and has no way of coming back.

You think I am wrong? How so? Manufacturing, gone to China. Last week I was speaking
with a manufacturer at a restaurant in Avon Lake. He was telling me how well he was doing.
I asked how, and he admitted once he sent manufacturing overseas, his family was able
to go back to their style of living they had enjoyed for years.

OK No manufacturing. How about technology?

Well I am approached nearly monthly about getting rid of my programmers and sending to
India, where I can get 6 months of work done in weeks, for 1/10th the cost.

Ok no technology. How about services?

Well, India, Thailand, and the Mid-East lead in those catagories.

Damn, only thing left is medical, death, army and pole dancing! Well until we can no longer
pay the army, insurance disappears, and Asian no longer find Americans pretty!

One of the first posts I ever made in this project was "Good News/Bad News" The bad news
was that we are going third world. The good news we are all going together.

Last night at 10pm I was on 38th an Central Avenue, one of the roughest neighborhoods
in the city of Cleveland. I saw over 1,000 people forming a line that wound around the
parking lot and went down the street for Minuteman. This was so that people 9 hours
later would have at least a chance to get 1 day worth of work.

WE, that would be WE the people, need to draw a line in the sand and say, buy local,
buy American.

FWIW

And what is Obama going to tell the Fed? The same thing Bush did?

Which is basically, "yes sirs do you want cream with that coffee..."

Of all people to post this!

But glad to see you posting video comments again.

Jim, are you really comparing the Obama deficit to the Bush deficit??? What Bush did in 8 years (2 wars and 9-11) to the deficit.. Obama has matched in under 2 years...

Stephen

Let's be honest here.

Obama is merely left with the check for the Bush Party clean-up.

Nothing more.

No president controls the Federal Reserve, you know that.

While GWB was in office they were printing bad notes as fast as they are now.

2 years in and the "Hope and Change" admin is still blaming Bush. We are in trouble.. Yes, Bush expanded the Federal Budget by $700 billion and increased the public debt by $2.5 trillion. Obama started and is in control of his own mess. Nobody has forced Obama to accelerate the financial bailouts or double Federal spending. Obama's mess has nothing to do with Bush or what Bush did during his presidency.

2 years to clean up 8 years of out of control spending, war making and shipping business
overseas is not very much time at all.

I know with a big party it often takes longer to clean up than throw.

Especially when the drunk frat brother falls through the stereo, and goes to the
bathroom in the fish tank.

Your expectations are unrealistic.

It always takes longer to fix something than break something.

I think Bush's mess will not be cleaned up by the time your kids get on Social Security.

8 years of Bush "uncontol" spending begets Obama a free pass to make Bush look like a fiscal conservative? I am not following your logic.. So, because Bush ran up the deficit and increased the public debt.. the solution is to mimic what Bush did to resolve the "problem' that Bush started? So, if Bush started a fire then Obama would pour gas on it to put it out... I see

Please go back my tea partying friend.

I think the point of my article was,

we are going third world for a long time

or

The top 1% actually believed 2012, and think there are boats!

You are the one posting blame, on them.

I am the one posting blame on us, for turning a blind eye to them.

When anything, anything does not have some form of oversight or answering to
it goes back to its feral state.

This is just one of those little things that transparency and accountability help on.

But, Ted just posted photos of little Ted making a mess on facebook,
I have to twitter about it.

You know, he almost sounds like a prophet!

Libertarian

Stephen,

You break me up.

Libertarianism is something that works best when discussed in a dorm room between
3 - 6 am, if none of the girls stuck around.

Usually by 6am everyone is acting more conservative,

and by the time they get through breakfast at Denny's and call dad for more money
they become a bleeding heart liberal.

It just never works in real life.

Most of the people I know that are hardcore Libertarians make about $20 million + a year.

Stephen,
Why is it you seem to forget the financial bailout money and TARP were passed and signed under Bush?

I mean Obama has done a few of his own things that have caused the deficit to increase, but it pales in comparison to Bush's 2 unfunded wars and the TARP Wall Street bailout he approved for his friends before he left....oh and that gigantic un-paid-for tax cut he passed too.

So yes, let's talk about who expanded the deficit the most...let's just keep it honest.

http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Economy/story ... 721&page=1

President-elect Barack Obama asked President Bush today to request the release of the second $350 billion in federal bailout funds so he would have "ammunition" if the country's fragile economy weakened further.
