Clifton Blvd Signage - Small Font
The new poles and signs are going up along Clifton and I'm a bit surprised at the small size and font used for the signs. Maybe because I'm getting older, but the signs are hard to read and fairly small.
I know I'm not the only over-40 resident in Lakewood and I wonder if anyone else thinks the signage is less than ideal. Check out the Bunts Rd sign. Lots of space on the plaque yet the "Bunts" is small and crowded looking.
When I drive, I like signage that is large and in an easy-to-read font. it makes it so much easier to navigate.

Grace I'm in my 30's with perfect vision and the signs are horribly difficult to read. I was told the other day that the signs are going back because they were not made properly, I have not seen the letter or article that said that though. Does anyone else know if that's true? It's the perfectionist in me but I find it disconcerting when projects like this are done wrong, it makes me wonder what else will go wrong and it makes me wonder who's not doing their job.
On the bright side though I do really like the light posts, they look nice and the new curbs will be very handy for pedestrians.

The small font size was a contractor's error and is being corrected by ODOT. Everyone doesn't need to change their prescriptions.

Yeah! I'm glad I posted about it and I appreciate the info from the Mayor.
I agree with Danielle that the corners look fab with the new, easy access slopes and concrete and the poles are nicely shaped.
Can't wait to see the new signs to complete the look!

I'm happy as long as they don't use Comic Sans
