Lakewood Historical Society "Instant Wine Cellar" Fundraiser

To all our Lakewood Historical Society supporters,

Michael and I are currently collecting wine for the “Instant Wine Cellar” raffle fundraiser. The Instant Wine Cellar was a very effective fundraiser at the 2008 Patron Party for the “Come Home to Lakewood” Home Tour. It raised over $3,000 and all proceeds benefited the educational programs of the Lakewood Historical Society.

The premise is very simple. We collect 50 bottles of wine from our generous donors and sell tickets for the opportunity for one very lucky winner to take home all 50 bottles of wine. The tickets are only $5.00 a piece or 3 for $10.00 and can be purchased at http://www.lakewoodmuseumstore.com. The winner will be picked during the Patron Party on September 11, 2010 and you do not need to be present to win. Any additional bottles of wine that are donated will be used for an additional raffle that evening.

Now that I have given you the specifics about this worthy fundraiser, we are now asking each of you to donate at least 1 bottle of wine to help with the success of this event. You can pick your favorite or refer to our wish list developed by Gary Rossen at Rozi’s Wine House (at Rozi's or I can email to you). If you purchase your wine from Gary, he will keep it there for us to pick up. If you would like to donate from your own wine collection, please give us a call at 216-228-2868 or email us at rloje@sbcglobal.net to make arrangements to pick up your wine or for you to drop it off. The deadline for wine drop off is August 27th, 2010. We will be happy to supply you with a receipt for your donation.

In this challenging financial year, some of our usually generous donors have sadly been unable to offer us their support. We are looking forward to this raffle to help offset this shortfall. We encourage you to participate and please pass this information to your friends and family.
