My "neighbors" had babies...

Post by Missy Limkemann »

Oh the joy of now having 4 hawk things in my yard. I so love the sound of them catching their dinner. (yes I cry a few times a day....it is painful to hear) But yeah these guys decided they loved me enough to build a huge nest in my tree and then stay. Now daily they buzz my head, I was hit in the head by a wing the other day....wish I knew what they were. They have this weird "cheeeeep" noise.

These are not great pictures as my camera is crappy. I know there are at least 2 adults and 2 babies. I thought 5 but they fly so fast, but I know for sure 4.

Well, interesting. Tell your new neighbors to stay in their own yard, please, Missy... one of them was recently in one of my trees in MY back yard. I didnt notice him at first, but my eye was caught by snow falling. Except it wasnt snow. It was your friend plucking and eviscerating a pidgeon or a gull above me. He hung out and ate for about a half hour of so, and then got sick of us staring at him. He took his lunch elsewhere. Yum. :P
