The city should really consider turning all the parking meters into bike racks, it would certainly make things easier.

Where are all the bike racks?
Since the weather has been so nice, it's been great to get my bike out again and ride to places around Lakewood. But I'm also reminded about the very few suitable places to lock up a bike in this city, especially along Detroit and Madison.

I've never had a problem locking up in Lakewood there are parking meters and/or sign posts just about every 10 feet along Detroit and Madison. I can't think of a public building without a rack and numerous retailers have them. All and all Lakewood is pretty bicycle friendly. Relatively slow traffic speeds and predictable traffic control signals. The conditions of the road surfaces are probably the greatest hazards facing Lakewood's cyclists.
