Over there, on this dead end, with only 4 outlets, was a Bullock sign.

Seems like his signs are up all over.

Because I work with both of them on City Council, and have had positive relationships with both of them, I have stayed neutral in this race.

But to be honest, I do think Tom's recent mailing was a mistake. Besides some factual errors, what bothered me was the attempt to paint Councilwoman Antonio as somehow part of some corrupt cabal. That kind of accusation is unfair, untrue, and a very cheap shot. It ought to be retracted immediately, so the campaign can focus on issues that are based in reality.

I think Tom made a mistake in the heat of the campaign, and I hope the rest of the campaign- for both candidates- focuses on substance.

Not to veer off the path from political incorrectness, but could not help noticing the sign in front of the house with the land yacht.

I've never seen a sign like that and I'm honestly trying to figure out what it means as a road sign. Is this an Ohio or Cleveland thing? If there is a resident nearby who is deaf, I'm trying to understand how a road sign connects with that challenge?

Sharon, cleaning up politics (in my opinion) is a necessary and ongoing task. Everyone needs to be aware corruption, nepotism, and poor management are a ghost tax on citizens. It drags our quality of life down. Corruption & crime are like weeds needing constant attention. You can't stop it but it must be minimized.
Saying corruption isn't a problem doesn't make it so. The F.B.I. isn't conducting the largest corruption investigation in history here because we don't have a problem. I think we're fortunate to have the F.B.I. doing some clean up work here. The challenge will be to create effective oversight to slow down the resurrection of the mess we have today. I'm reminded of an old comics quiz question: Do you know why politicians have such a bad reputation? Because they deserve it. It's funny because there's so much truth to it.
Lets focus on creating prioritized, cost effective, respectful government. It will start with bright , honest,imaginative politicians. We will also need effective oversight by media and citizens. Politics as usual is no longer an option. Lets shoot for "Government we can be proud of". Pat Ballasch

Pat, may I call you Pat - what is your point? Do you think we can run a more efficient government by beating dead horses?

Do not misquote me - I did not say anything about the quality of government or whether we needed reform. That issue is settled. The makeup of county government has been changed by the vote of the people. Why waste city money on issues that don't belong to the city? Why seek to change the way business is being handled at the county level when it's already been voted on and attended to.

As for the rest of it - if you want to help the FBI - give them a call. I don't function at those levels. I am not involved and I don't beat dead horses. Do you?

It seems to me that the ISSUE has been dealt with and the question of transgressions is in the hands of others.
