Spring time in Lakewood

Post by Ivor Karabatkovic »

Just two days ago, the LHS baseball team took the snowy field for their first outdoor practice. They were probably the only team in the region that was OUTSIDE practicing, and that's because we're lucky enough to have a state-of-the-art facility.

Crazy how great the drainage system on the turf is, because in two days, the field was dry and spotless. No mud or puddles to worry about, since the field is made of turf.

one more- this is one of my favorite things about Lakewood. The way the sun reflects and lights up off of the wires:

This morning I saw the old oak getting ready to sprout leaves.

Then walked over to the edge of the Emerald Canyon and looked down and saw fishermen
all along the edge of the river fishing.

Including this fly fisherman.
