For all her whining about health care and criticism of "socialized" medicine, Palin had no problem taking advantage of Canadian health care resources:

Re: Canadian Health Care Good Enough for Sarah Palin
Did I read the same article that you did?
I don't know of any parents that give their 5-or-under-year-old children the choice of whether to hop the Canadian border for health care or not, do you?
If her parent's were bemoaning the Canadian system, then you have found hypocrites.
Am I any more a hypocrite if I cry fowl about the unions, while my own father is currently part of SEIU out of necessity?
Let's also look at one other aspect of this:
In 2000, Skagway had a population of 860. Nearby Haines, Alaska is about 1800.
Whitehorse is the capital of the Yukon Territory with over 20K.
Ignoring the national medical policies, which city is going to be equipped to provide a person with the best emergency medical care?
“My first five years of life we spent in Skagway, Alaska, right there by Whitehorse,” Palin said during a speech in Calgary on Saturday.
