“Monetizing Debt”

Post by Tim Liston »

If our children knew what this is and what it meant for their future, and they weren’t so addicted to text messaging, there would be a Million Teen March in Washington every day.

If their parents knew what it means to “monetize debt” and the total crap of Keynesian economics that is still taught in traditional schools, and if parents gave a rat’s ass about the future of their offspring they would insist that it stop IMMEDIATELY even if it meant a serious diminution in lifestyles (which it would).

I’m becoming increasingly convinced that the main purpose of government schools, and the private schools that emulate them, is to keep our kids fat, dumb and happy. And subservient.

We need to really educate our kids and not just make them memorize the 16 parts of a flower or factor a binomial. If we really care about them….

Let's throw some real history into the mix as well.

all economic growth ultimately relies on an expanding money supply.
the clerical techniques or vocabulary aside, that is what it takes.

all Banking is Fiat Currency. all banking is "moneterized debt". in the good ol' days, people deposited stuff at banks. the bank issued them notes, or they wrote checks. or people issued their own notes. and they frequently paid each other back with other notes.

"moneterized debt" is not particularly Keynsian or un-Keynsian.

Ravi Batra is the only present day economist who matters.

The history of America is essentially millions of people winning the lottery: getting in on untapped resources early. being to far from Europe and Asia to get wrapped up in big wars. there is no liberterian american history. there is Henry Charles Carey American History. And millions of people winning the lottery.
