Slate Magazine Says Americans Are Childish And Immature

I was prepared to disagree with his conclusions before I read the article:

While I have a nit or two to pick, the line that got me thinking was the line about the US budget process becoming more like what they have in California.

For the first hundred-and-odd years, Uncle Sam's job was to dole out land and resources.
