Congratulations to teachers Joe Lobozzo and Alisa Nazelli and the fantastic group of students who work with the Race and Diversity group at the High School. I'm proud to have this group represent our schools and city in Washington!

The students on Tues. night attended the concert "In Performance at the White House: A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement" with performers such as Smokey Robinson, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Jennifer Hudson and John Mellencamp and a handful of them were invited to sit in the front row alongside the Obama and Biden families! The rest of the group were seated in rows close behind. You can see the concert Thursday, Feb. 11 on PBS at 8 p.m.
