Kyle Rostance, who I've known since my first days at McKinley, is leaving his base in Italy to join US troops in the front lines of Afghanistan this morning. A bit of sad news for us friends back home, since we haven't seen him in close to a year, and will have to wait until he finishes his first deployment until we get to see him again.
Kyle graduated from LHS, studied engineering at CSU, then transferred to Ohio University. He was asked to go to basic training two days after moving into his dorm at OU. I heard from Kyle a few days ago, and he said he was anxiously waiting to deploy to Afghanistan and not sit around in Italy anymore. When he signed up for the Armed Forces, he was eager to get into the action as soon as possible.

I'll hopefully keep contact with Kyle while he's overseas, so I'll be able to update you with news.
Pray for his health and safety, and that they all return home to their loved ones.
